5G in the Port of Valencia.

On the 9th and 10th of October, the IMAGINE-B5G project was presented at the Wireless Networks in Ports Conference (PortComms 24) in London with the participation of Joan Llopis, Senior Project Manager at Fundacion Valencia Port, one of the members of the project consortium.

The presentation of the IMAGINE-B5G project, ‘From Concept to Reality: 5G in the port of Valencia,’ was centred on the demonstration of the Open Call 1 ADAPT-G and Open Call 2 5G Rescue projects.

During the session, Joan Llopis shared insights into the various 5G initiatives that are being implemented in the Port of Valencia through different pilot projects, such as ADAPTG (OC1) or RESCUE-5G (OC2), carried out as part of the IMAGINE-B5G project. These pilot projects are crucial for familiarising ourselves with 5G technology and assessing its performance in a demanding real-world environment like the port. These initiatives pave the way for future 5G deployment and the port’s digital transformation.
