FOR-5G (5G-powered Forest Firefighting and Surveillance System) is a vertical experiment by Rinisoft Ltd and Correlation Systems, selected as one of 15 projects in the second Open Call of Imagine-B5G.
Traditional PPDR drone operations often rely on ground control stations and outdated communication systems, limiting efficiency. FOR-5G leverages 5G technology to enable direct communication between command centers, drones, and on-ground firefighting teams. Combining Rinisoft’s advanced drones with Correlation Systems’ IoT sensors, FOR-5G provides real-time data analysis, enhanced situational awareness, and precise drone control, empowering rapid, informed decision-making to minimize damage to lives, property, and the environment.
FOR-5G integrates cutting-edge 5G features with the IMAGINE-B5G platform to transform forest fire detection, characterization, and firefighting.
