ADAPT-G OC1 made its inaugural trial at the Port of Valencia

Between the 2nd and the 4th of April, the inaugural testing phase of the first Open Call for the Spanish site of the ADAPT-G project occurred. OC#1 ADAPT-G is designed to deploy a system aimed at bolstering security within the port by integrating drones equipped with artificial intelligence to identify threats at the port of Valencia.

These tests are based on two use cases. The first one focuses on the automatic detection of open accesses, infrastructure damages, and other vulnerabilities, while the second one deals with the detection of individuals in unauthorised areas through the port’s CCTV cameras and their subsequent tracking with the drone. Both use cases are supported by the XR Factory’s control center platform, which, through image recognition, can detect these scenarios and managing alerts and drone flights.

The members of the ADAPT-G project, including XR-Factory and ETRAIR, conducted thorough testing of the developments, yielding highly satisfactory results in terms of 5G signal coverage, drone flight, and alert visualisation. Moreover, we took advantage of the opportunity to capture numerous video samples to further refine the image recognition algorithms, enhancing threat recognition capabilities for the upcoming trials.
